City of Merced Applegate Park Zoo is holding an Earth Day event held the week of  April 22nd -25th , 2021.  There will be a plant scavenger hunt scheduled throughout the week during regular zoo hours.  On April 24th, our Zoo Plant Specialist will be providing an Educational Plants talks on the Venus Flytrap plants during special times.  Venus Flytrap plants will be on display for families.  In addition, a live Bear feeding demonstration with Zoo Keeper Josh is scheduled at 2:30pm on the 24th.  As families complete the scavenger hunt, earth day prizes will be given out.
