3. What Personal Data Does Merced Community Calendar Collect, and for What Purpose?

We collect personal data that you directly input into the registration forms, as well as in any other page on the site, such as your name, email address, telephone number and other information.

By completing the registration process you represent and warrant that you are the person making the registration or have the express authority from that person to make the registration on their behalf.

 

We may collect your personal and/or information to:

provide the services and customer support you request;

resolve disputes and troubleshoot problems;

prevent potentially fraudulent, prohibited or illegal activities, and enforce our Terms of Use Agreement;

customize, personalize, measure, and improve our services and the content and layout of our website;

send you updates about new products and services that we are offering;

compare information for accuracy and verify it with third parties;

perform other duties as required by law.

 

4. What Personal Data Do We Share with 3rd Parties. 

Event Organizers. Event organizers may decide to share your personnel data any time you sign up for an event. Event organizers may use your personal data for future marketing or for other uses beyond the control of the City. 

Government authorities as permitted or required by law. This may include disclosing your personal data to regulators, or law enforcement authorities. We may transfer and disclose the data we collect about you to comply with a legal obligation, including responding to a court order, to prevent fraud, to comply with an inquiry by a government agency or other regulator, to address security or technical issues, to respond to an emergency, or as necessary for other legal purposes.

Analytics Companies: When you visit the Merced Community Calendar or use one of our mobile applications, we may share your IP address, standard web log information, such as your browser type and the pages you accessed on our website. We also may collect certain geo-location information. We use these third-party service providers such as Google Analytics to provide certain analytics and user interactions services for the Merced Community Calendar including the collection and tracking of certain data and information regarding the characteristics and activities of visitors to the Merced Community Calendar.

Payment processors: To process payments for events, we need to share some of your personal information with the person or company that you are paying or is paying you. Your contact information, date of sign-up, the number of payments you have received may be provided to users or companies when you transact with, on, or through the Merced Community Calendar.

We will not disclose your credit card number or bank account number to anyone unless we are required to do so to comply with a subpoena or other legal process.

Information Collected from Children The Merced Community Calendar is not directed or targeted to children under eighteen (18) years or age and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If we discover that a child under 18 has provided us with personal information, we will promptly delete such personal information from our systems.

The City does not sell any categories of personal data collected through your interaction with the Merced Community Calendar.
