Patriarchy and Capitalism: Solutions to 2 systems of oppression hurting people and wildlife

Please join the University of California, Merced for a discussion with Kelley, Adoma and Sarah from the Center for Biological Diversity on Friday, 10/14 at 3 pm PDT.
About the Panelists:
Kelley, she/her, Campaigner- Kelley Dennings is a campaigner with the nonprofit Center for Biological Diversity where she develops and executes advocacy and outreach initiatives that address the connections between reproductive health, gender equity, endless growth and the climate and extinction crises. Prior to the Center, she worked in waste management and forest conservation. She holds a bachelor’s degree in natural resources from N.C. State and a master’s degree in public health from the University of South Florida. She is a family planning counselor and is certified in public health, social marketing and project management.
Adoma, she/her, Associate- Adoma Addo, Population and Sustainability Associate, supports Center research and campaigns on waste prevention, sexual and reproductive health and rights, and the systemic injustices associated with unequal environmental burdens and unequal access to health services. She is a senior at Yale University, where she’s focused on environmental studies and global health.
Sarah, she/her, Organizer- Sarah Baillie, Population and Sustainability Organizer, leads outreach efforts to help people understand how the pressures of our growing human population and high levels of consumption hurt wildlife and habitat. She manages our Endangered Species Condoms project and coordinates events for Pillow Talk. Sarah holds a bachelor’s in wildlife conservation from the University of Delaware, a master’s in biology from Villanova University, and a master’s of public administration from the University of Arizona.
